We don’t know enough about the universe to say if aliens exist or not – we think they might do though. Space is very big, so aliens are definitely a possibility. Of course, it they are very far away we might never be able to meet them! Even the closest star to our solar system is a very long way away.
I’m not sure how the sun it – but I know it’s very large indeed. Bigger than any planet in the solar system, and many tens of times larger than Earth! That’s why we can see it so clearly in the sky, compared to other planets a similar distance away.
I’ve been looking up lots of sun facts this morning so I can tell you that the sun is 109 times wider than the Earth! (That makes it nearly 1.4 million km!)
As Mike says, we don’t know if aliens exist yet although I think it’s reasonably likely that there is life somewhere else on another planet. It might not look like life as we know it though…
As the other two have said, the space is so large that there may just be the possibility that life has also arisen somewhere else in it. But the question is, if it’s very far away in the universe, would we ever find out about them (or they about us)? and how should we communicate if we/they do?
