I get up at around 7am (although it will be earlier if I have a very big experiment that day).
My supervisor is really flexible so as long as I get all my work done I can come in early and leave early, or come in late and leave late if I want to.
I’m a morning person so I’d rather get into work early, leave early (4-5pm) and then have the evenign to do other things.
My working hours are more flexible than a lot of scientists – I don’t need special lab equipment (just my laptop), and I work alone (a lot of my research group are also like this, and for a while very few people came into the lab).
I get up at around 8am on a normal day, but if I’m teaching I need to get up earlier. I don’t always start work straight away though, sometimes I work later into the evening instead (like today, with lots of live chats in the morning!).

Thankfully it doesn’t take me too long to get ready! (And I am lucky – I can eat my breakfast at work while I am checking my emails)

School is a hard timetable to keep to! My boss is very understanding if my hours have to change.
