When we talk about ‘vitamins and minerals’, the minerals part is referring to things like calcium, potassium and zinc. We only need them in very small amounts, normally, but they’re used in very special reactions around the body. For instance, you might know that calcium is used in the production of bone. Some minerals help us produce enzymes or hormones that our body uses to keep us healthy and functioning normally!

Like Mike said, minerals are important for our bodies.

Small amounts of zinc are important for keeping our skin in its proper condition.
