I think the reason our blood tastes of metal is because it contains lots of iron.
I’d be interested to hear if the other scientists know anything different though

I think it tastes of salt. And some metals also taste of salt.
We measure the amount of salt in patient’s blood in my laboratory to see if they are ill or not, and if they are getting better.
