  The sun is 1400 000 km from side to side if you go through the middle (that’s 1.4million km)!
  
  On the surface it is 6000 degrees C (to give you a comparison, water boils at 100 degrees C)
  
  The core of the sun is 15 000 000 degrees C (that’s 15 million degrees C!)
