My suspicion would be that the sun is hot enough that it would melt the meteorite before the meteorite could hit it but I don’t know. May be one of the others can help?
Well, a meteorite will also burn (at least partically) when it enters the earth’s atmosphere due to friction. So I guess that if meteorites can be significantly damaged by friction falling into the atmosphere, they would burn when approaching the sun. But I am just making an educated guess here.
