Question: If a mother has cancer and then gets pregnant, can the cancer grow in the baby instead of the mother (curing the mother but then endangering the child?)
It is very rare for a mother to give cancer to her baby. Some cancers do spread in the blood stream and so can get to the placenta, causing cancer there, but they very rarely reach the baby in the womb directly. Unfortunately if the baby did get cancer it would not cure the mother – they would both have cancer 🙁
