      Yup acid is real. You probably have some real acid in your house – do you have any lemons/lemon juice? That contains citric acid. Vinegar contains acetic acid.

      Yes, as Emma says acid is part of everyday life. To be classed as an acid a substance must release an H+ (hydrogen ion) easily. The more readily it releases H+, the more acidic it is.
