• Question: What is hotter the sun or lightning?

      Well the core of the sun is definitely hotter than lightning but I think lightning can sometimes be hotter than the surface of the sun.

      To give you the numbers (which I had to look up!)

      -lightning can reach up to about 30 000 degrees C

      -the surface of the sun is only about 6 000 degrees C

      -the core of the sun is 15 000 000 degrees C (that’s 15 million degrees C!)
