Question: what would happen if you were sucked into a black hole(or the milky way) and would you be able to get out?
Asked by whtaylor to Anil, Blanka, Cees, Emma, Mike on 4 Jul 2012.
answered on 4 Jul 2012:
It seems really unlikely! We don’t know for sure, but a black hole is black because it sucks things in so powerfully that even light can’t escape it! We’re much, much slower than light, so we’d never be able to get out.
Hopefully we won’t have to get very near one!
