      It’s a sign of being incredibly classy, of course!

      I’m kidding. Most men grow hair on their faces, and shave it off. The hair grows because the body produces a certain hormone that stimulates those particular hair folicles. Other than that, I believe it’s similar to how hair grows on your head!

      Some people keep their beards for religious or cultural reasons (in some countries almost no-one shaves), some keep it for warmth (my dad used to grow one during winter!), some just like the way it looks on their face!

      Men’s facial hair starts growing during puberty as a secondary sign of mature reproduction system. The reason why is does is the increased production of the hormone testosterone.

      As Mike and Blanka said, as boys go through puberty they start makign more testosterone and this causes hair to grow on their faces. If they don’t shave it off they can eventually grow a beard
