0 Question: Why is there a universe named the Milkey Way? Keywords: galaxy, milky way, universe Asked by persionsupreme to Mike on 6 Jul 2012.
Michael Cook answered on 6 Jul 2012:
I’m not sure! However, the Milky Way contains so many stars so close together that if you look at it from a distance, bits of it can seem milky-white. It’s just a big mix of bright lights all blending into one another.
