I don’t, really! I used to play it on saturday mornings when I was younger, but I was always rubbish at it. I do watch the big football matches when they’re on, though.
One of the PhD students in our lab is Italian, so last night produced some funny emails!
I’m not really a football fan (more of a cricket girl) but a lot of my colleagues are!
I was at a conference in San Francisco last week and the England v Ukraine match was showing in the exhibition area at lunch time (8 hour time difference) and there were loads of other scientists (mostly British but a few French) watching the game (I was more interested in my dinner I’m afraid!)
I am more of a volleyball girl myself in terms of team sports. But I was watching the football last week when in a holiday cottage where we had TV (don’t have one at home). Generally, I would say that the international football – world cup and euros – interests me enough to watch, the other football I’m not really fussed about.
