Actually yes sometimes I do miss working on other things.
I am the sort of person who finds lots of things really interesting so I do get bored if I work on the same thing for too long.
There’s lots of aspects to my PhD which helps keeps things interesting, plus also I get the opportunity to talk to you guys which is great. After my PhD I don’t think I will stay in pure research. I want to work as a vet pathologist which means I will get to do post mortems, look at lumps that vets have cut off animals to see if they are cancerous and do a bit of research.
Basically I am very much ‘a jack of all trades and a master of none’ but I don’t think that’s such a bad thing!

Thanks for that answer, I was quite interested. Personally, I don’t get too bored with tasks that I do repetitivley, even if they’re mundane.

That’s a good skill and I wish I had it!
