      Good question. 🙂

Did you know that food poisoning doesn’t jsut give you vomiting and diarrhoea (although those are the main symptoms) but it can also be much more serious and sometimes even deadly?

I find all diseases interesting but, being a vet, I find the ones we get from animals (like quite a few of the food poisoning causes) really interesting. I got involved in food poisoning research partly because the bacteria I work with live in chickens (the animal to human route I am interested in) but also because I want my research to help people. If my research helps other scientists know more about Campylobacter (the bacteria I work on) and we can eventually stop people from becoming really ill with it, I think it would be fantastic! That’s my aim anyway!
